Steam-jet ejector is a simple and highly versatile type of compressor. Usually applied to create and maintain vacuum in process equipment and test chambers, the ejector can also be designed for any suction pressure above atmospheric, as long as a sufficient quantity of steam is available for the job. A further advantage of the ejector is that it can be made of any material that can be machined.

We design and manufacture according to the extensive list of codes and ordinances. (ASME, HEI, TEMA, ASTM, etc.) Applications include crystallization, desecration, drying, and cooling of liquids and solids, high vacuum distillation. And the processing of essential oils, food products, and a broad range of chemical products.

SAMWON's research has produced numerous improvements in jet ejector design resulting in its product line of high-performance characteristics.

Two-stage ejector with a surface condenser

The system offers the low steam consumption characteristics of all condensing ejectors and is therefore well suited for continuous operation. Since the component arrangement is very flexible, extremely compact assemblies can be engineered where required, the compact arrangement eliminates water contamination and is ideal for product recovery and is usually the best two-stage unit to use when it is necessary to install the equipment within a confined space. And barometric condenser type two-stage steam jet ejector system can also be designed and serviced.

Multi-stage ejector with barometric condenser

The system is used where the required compression ratio cannot be attained economically with only one stage. However, for peak vacuum service (0.1 to 1 Torr) where a large volume of suction gas must be handled at low pressure, these ejectors offer a considerable first-cost advantage over mechanical vacuum pumps. Five and six-stage ejectors are commonly used for research work and special processes such as vacuum degassing of special alloy steels, and the chemical process.

SAMWOM's multi-stage condensing ejector systems are manufactured in up to five-stage configuration and in a wide range of capacities. The flexibility of design and configuration makes the multi-stage condensing ejector systems a highly versatile vacuum system, readily adapted to a variety of process applications.
